Honoring Lineages and Initiations.

It feels important to begin with my spiritual lineage and foundations. In the spiritual tradition of Akom, an Indigenous spiritual system from West Africa, i am an Okomfo, which is a priestess/spirit healer. My name with title is Okomfo Abena Afriye Oparebea. My teacher is Okomfohemma/Ankobeahene Nana Oparebea Bekoe who founded the Circle of Light Society in Washington, DC. I am an Okomfo of Nana Asuo Gyebi, a deity known for many things, including protection, plant and animal medicines and the art of diplomacy.

I am also an initiate of Ifa with the Ile Ominra Ilu, under the leadership of Iya’falola Omobola.
