Day 106: Dear One

Dear One…

of all you could’ve been born to

you chose me nearly three decades ago

i imagine that

as an ancestor whose travel was nearing

you pointed, that one, and waited

i thank you for the gift of your choice and life

i thank the ancestors and gods of creation for our time

may we have much much more
