Day 120: Family weekend

remembering early college days. the privilege of attending, made possible by grant programs for poor families. privilege. why not a right? everyone should be able to attend university without going into debt if that is the path of their choosing.

the family converged on the university to celebrate one of our young one’s first year in college. school barely begun and already the dramas of racism and youth are playing out. she remains optimistic. clear about why she is there. a supportive friend, just out of reach from the mess. living her best life.
