Day 164: Nia

As i begin this day,

may i re-member from shattered transgenerational memories the sacred meaning and purpose of my life

may i lean into the ancient wisdoms of the Nana Nom* that flow in and through me for guidance, courage and strength

may i lovingly work through the impacts of experiences and conditions that cloud my vision, dim my light and feed unhealthy thought patterns and practices

may i create a light-filled world within me and my relationships that embodies what is urgently needed in the world around me

*The Nana Nom are the elevated ancestors in the sacred spiritual tradition of Akom, an Indigenous African spiritual tradition from West Africa.
