Day 159: Christmas Reflection

As a child coming up in an economically challenged family, i came to appreciate the generosity that surrounded this time of year, from the donors who contributed and the volunteers who distributed food, toys, coats and more at the food pantries and toy give-away places. I also appreciate the awakenings i’ve had over the course of my life to the deep injustices perpetuated by systems that create such expansive poverty and hardship so that a disproportionate few to amass great wealth. Oh and merry christmas.
