Day 175: Thinking about renewal

in the deep night of this winter season i think about renewal and rebirth, inspired by deep, spiritual excavation and healing work over the past few seasons. my spirit has been under the weather for a long time. and the healing ocean waters during a recent trip pulled so much of the heaviness i’ve been lugging around away. the ocean. even in the midst of human led global contamination of the lands-airs-waters, there remains, at least in that place, a powerful healing presence. one that has continued to feed me beyond the time we spent together and well into this sacred time of winter. the short days and long nights invite greater reflection and contemplation, inward nourishment and repair…all valuable in cyclical processes of renewal and rebirth. and so here i am. in the deep night of this winter season, inspired and thinking about renewal.
